Project Description:

In this study, we will collect and store data on how people move during typical daily activities to help us learn about how movement is related to muscle and bone health. This information will help future researchers study several different musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

You can participate if you are:
  • Ages 18-89 years old
  • Able to perform activities of daily living like walking and standing up from a chair without assistance, risk of injury or falls
  • Able to provide written consent and understand instructions in English
  • Do or do not have previous injuries, surgeries, or other health conditions
What you will be asked to do:
  • Spend approximately 20-60 minutes at the site
  • Fill out surveys about your demographics, health, physical activity, and quality of life
  • Perform typical activities of daily living (e.g., walking, standing up from a chair) while being filmed by a set of video cameras
  • Wear your own clothes and shoes
  • Allow collected data mentioned above to be stored in a secure, HIPAA-compliant data bank.
How to participate:
  • No appointment necessary
  • Arrive at the site at the day(s) and time(s) specified to learn more and enroll
